Hina was a confident, vivacious young girl living in a slum with her two sisters & a brother along with her parents. Although they had a modest living out of their father’s government salary, they were a happy family contented with whatever they had. Suddenly misfortune transpired & they lost their father. They did not have a support system to fall back upon. Her father’s pension was meagre & would not sustain them for long. She wanted to earn for ensuring a good life for her family. She decided to pursue her post-graduate studies via distant learning. Meanwhile SOCH volunteers made a visit to their area one day & apprised the youngsters of their Pankh project where they would support & encourage anyone wanting to pursue a professional career. Hina evinced interest in joining a beautician training course. SOCH helped her for the same. After completion of her three months training, she is successfully running a parlour while taking full responsibility of the household.
